The Forest Biomass Baler for logging slash is mounted on a forest trailer. The device consists of 5 compressing sections mounted on a mutual mid-frame. Each section has a wall and moving elements powered by hydraulic cylinders which allows for compaction and strapping of the load. Strapping is carried manually using a PP tape and a strapping tool. The set has a hydraulic system with a hydraulic distributor steering the sections.
The system is powered from the hydraulic system of a tractor. The set is intended for mounting on the JAR-8 trailer equipped in a hydraulic crane, which in this case is used for loading logging slash and unloading strapped bales.
When necessary the baler can be removed from the trailer and placed on supporting legs.
