SOBANSKI’S SEED DRILL SZU

SZU Seed Drill has been designed for sowing pine during operations with reforestation. The drill allows for simultaneous sowing of oak nuts and other species' seeds, for example lime-tree, sycamore or beech on clearcutting areas or post-agricultural grounds together with ploughing performed with LPz-OTL or P1T plough.

Sowing is possible thanks to assembling a special frame with the seed drill to a plough. Thanks to this a simultaneous ploughing together with sowing of seeds proper for a given area takes place – from 5 assembled seed containers.

Thanks to proper design solutions of the power train to separate sowing elements there is a possibility of temporary switching off of a number of drills – through disengaging drive motors from the tractor's cabin. A part of seeds are sown on a depth of 5 – 8 cm (from two containers) and the rest of seeds are sown on the ground surface with a possibility of a slight covering or rolling.

In the technology of seeding with a SZU seed drill it is advised not to perform subsoiling as it has a negative impact on the plantation's yield.
