Forest roads has to be cheap and easy to build and simultaneously heavy-duty to allow heavy trucks drive on. Therefore it is necessary to build forest roads according modern methods and to take full advantage of science. Based on several roads built, made at Olsztyn State Forest Regional Directoree area, highly ecological, fast, cheap and permanent solution has been designed by making the most of native soil as a construction material with relevant stabilizers.
UDM device has been designed for mixing of original material of a dirt road with chemical stabilizers previously applied to the surface. The kind of chemical stabilizer and its depth of mixing must be adjusted to the technology of road rebuild. The machine is mounted on and powered from tractors supplying a minimum power output of 240 HP (a 4 wheel-drive tractor is recommended). Power requirement depends strictly on the applied working depth of the rotor.
