Preparation of soil and afforestation
FOREST SOIL GRINDER FL
The forest soil grinder has been designed for soil cultivation in form of a stripe 30 or 40 cm wide, preparing the surface for afforestation of farmland or clearcutting areas.
The forest soil grinder can be used for:
- Grinding clearcutting residues (logging slash), i.e. branches
- Removal of understory
- Removal of bush in forest vegetations (e.g. on unsuccessful plantations)
- Overgrowth removal on farmlands
- Grinding of burned down young forest stands
The device is powered by a PTO shaft in tractors of minimum 140 HP for FL-40 or minimum 120 HP for FL-30. It is recommended to apply tractors of power higher by 20-30% than the minimum. The forest soil grinder cannot be used on areas on which there are elements like glass, bricks, metal elements or stones. An experienced operator can efficiently grind branches of a diameter up to 10 cm scattered on the area.
The soil grinder has an adjustable working depth as well as the angle of the main body against the surface using the three point hitch. Working with the machine does not cause any additional difficulties and hazards for the operator.
We offer two kinds of replaceable fixed hammers: with inserts made of cemented carbide or hardfaced.
Application advantages:
- proper soil grinding
- very good plants growth conditions
- elasticity in adjustment of planting spatial arrangement
- cost efficiency an initial shredding of logging slash on the surface is not required
