Preparation of soil and afforestation
TRIANGLE MOUNDER WT
WT triangle mounder is a device designed for cultivation on clearcutting areas without a necessity of removing of harvesting residues (logging slash) from the surface. Cultivation with this device is based on preparing rectangular places during a work ride.
The device is mounted on tractors of 90 HP and is powered from their auxiliary hydraulic system. Places are prepared by blocking the triangle head and tearing off the top layer of soil. Then unblocking the head enables it to rotate and press the torn off mound of soil. The head rotates until it is again blocked by the hydraulic system.
The device has been designed to work on difficult areas, especially where clearcutting residues are present. Mounds prepared with the mounder allow for planting depending on the groundwater level:
- on the bottom of the place,
- on the edge or on top of the mound.
